Helsingin Kaupunginteatteri, Helsinki, Finland
The Helsingin Kaupunginteatteri is the most important theater in Finland. The theater was created in 1965 from the merger of Helsingin Työväenteatteri and Helsingin Kansanteatteri. In 1967, a new building was erected for the newly established theater, which remains the home of the theater to this day. Originally designed with two stages, the building was expanded in 1989 and a third stage was added. In 2001 the Teatteri Pieni Suomi with its Pasila Studio Theater and in 2005 the Lila Teatern were affiliated with The Helsingin Kaupunginteatteri.
The new control system enables fully automatic control of the existing upper and lower machinery.
